The Airbus A380 was welcomed more than warmly into Indian Airspace and on land. It touched down at Delhi's IGI Airport on 6 May and today (8 May) at Mumbai's Domestic Airport (probably flew in from Delhi).
I had a chance to see the monster hovering in the skies on its final approach to land. I was at this place called Vashi (some 30km from the airport?) and this bighead was descending so so slowly it could almost stall and fall. But it didn't.
There was a big probe sticking out of its back - much like the pitot probes seen jetting out of jet plane noses, just much much larger. Any ideas what a probe could be doing at the giant's posterior?
