Java 3D game programming and OpenGL

Sneemaster
Hey I was wondering if there was good information on using OpenGL with Java to make 3D games? What's the best way to go about it? Are there other methods (Java3D, etc.) that work better?

I have no own experience from 3D programming but I have heard of.

JOGL should be the best. It uses OpenGL. There is no point in using Java3D now.

I don't know about java3D, but Darkbasic is really great!

It is really great for 2D and 3D game making! DarkBasic, that's what you want! Wink

Well I looked up JOGL, but it looks like it has changed quite a bit from when it started. There are various tutorials but some are for older versions. The basic info on Wiki is for Java applets I believe. I'm still pretty new to Java, but I'd like to develop Java Apps instead. Any good site for that?
As for DarkBasic, it sounds interesting. How does it compare with Java or other languages (C++, C#, VB, Perl) especially for cross platform and ease of use or speed?
