How can I make frihost play nice with GPC and google apps?

I want to register my domain name through one of google's affiliates so that the DNS is already set up for google apps. But the google web page app doesn't support .php, is there a way that I can link from google to .php that is hosted here?
I am new to this game, and don't even have a hosting account set up yet.

As long as you have a domain name registered (as you've said you do), it is fairly easy to use Google Apps with your Frihost services. As you purchased your domain from Google, the Google Apps service should already be fully configured. All that you have to do is change the DNS settings of your domain slightly. Simply change the A-Record to 216.32.85.170 and leave the MX settings as-is.

I made a more detailed post on the configuration of the MX Records here, but you shouldn't need to use these.

Once you've set the MX Record, you simply add your domain as a "New Domain" in DirectAdmin.
