Oddly I never thought of milking cows as a particularly dangerous job, I guess not milking them can be life threatening in some places.
My goodness.... it still shows that almost anything can happen in India. Life is so cheap there. Beheading an employee for not milking a cow? What if the cow didn't have milk? Behead the cow? The wife did not want to make love ... behead the wife? This is crazy.

Not all cows are sacred in India because not all citizens of India are Buddhist or Hindu, many (very many) are Muslim and this sounds a bit like a Muslim social reaction to crime. But of course, taking the law into your own hands is a crime too. So good, the man got charged with murder.
It saddens me that life is so cheap to some people.
Wow, what a horrible thing to do to someone over something so stupid! Wouldn't it just be common sense to fire the person, rather than kill them over something that trivial?
I think it's at least a step forward that people around this realized it was wrong, and that the employer doesn't seem likely to get off scot-free. All too often this kind of thing is simply ignored in places like that, which honestly shouldn't happen anywhere in the civilized world.
I do, however, find it sad that no one tried to stop this from happening - from the sound of it, they just stood by and watched in horror.
What is really shocking to me is the article stated that the employer's father and brother held the guy down while the 3rd person lopped off his head with a sword....but there was no mention of them being charged with murder.
It is really sad that there is such a disregard for life in the world...please notice I am not mentioning any spefic place...but this disregard is world wide.
Such a pity.
This is very unfair. Work cannot equal to someone's life. The employer should have been beheaded.

I am not sure of the laws in that country, but something tells me that they may have an active death penalty.
It's extremely unlikely that a man was murdered for failing to milk a cow. Important details are missing: WHERE, WHEN, WHO. All we have is a half-WHAT and a dubious WHY. On the other hand help from family (father & brother) suggests a more likely WHY: defending family's honor or something like that.
Meaning lost in translation or intentional misleading? That's the question!

That may or may not be true. However, there is rarely justification for killing a human being (that has been born). None, if there isn't an impartial third party involved.
I don't think I'll ever go to India at this rate. I have no more respect for cows than I would for any other farm animal.

Oh I am sure there was details missing from the news, I only know what I read.
I love me some laws of developing countries!
You can always read of pointless killings happening in India. I've read one where the father killed his daughter for not giving him a drink when he got back from work. There's also lots of tribal and honor killlings happening there.
It's sad to still see such things happening now.
People are becoming more greedy and aggressive every year, and less far less compassionate and sympathetic. Since cows are sacred in India, and not milking a cow can cause severe discomfort to the animal, I suppose the employer felt justified in beheading the negligent employee.
Nevertheless, in the modern world, even in India, there are laws to prevent this kind of thing. While relgion in itself may be harmless, fanatacism is extremely dangerous to entire societies.
What dos the future hold when so many people disrespect life?
all I can hope for is that people who do those things can pay for their crimes. And for those around them not to take it into their own hands.
beheaded for not doing his work?????
What the hell would someone the power to behead someone for such stupid thing.
Just playing the role of supreme person or God is not acceptable.
Come on in what kind of world and time do we live?? The Middle Ages???
Just bull crap, my blood gets boiling when i hear or when iread facts like this.
waw I can't belive there still places in the world were they still do that kindof thingits horable
Whoa!
Remind me never to piss off my bosses.

I have always had respect for Indians, Completly harmless, but this is just stupid!
