Any program that modifies picture resolution?

jay84h
Would anyone know a fairly small program that is able to modify picture resolution, if it would also be able to modify several pictures at once that would be great as well. Reason I would like to know is because with newer camera's out and since I just purchased a new 5.0MP, the picture is much, much larger and I would like the modify it somehow. Thanks!

Thanks much for that post, I got it and it's so easy to use. It also allows you to select multiple pictures to change the resolution what you want it set to.

adobe photoshop can do it for you, you can even change the image type and there lots of options on saving your image. it's such a great tool.

I recently got Adobe PhotoShop Elements and I like it so far, althought I have not gone as far as testing all the features that it has. Would it be able to actually change resolution on multiple images at the same time? I tested out VSO Image Resizer and it's so simple and does multiple images at once, giving resolution options to choose from.

Adobe Photoshop does a great job at resizing photos, uses Lazcos3 algorithm / filter. It all depends on how much you wish to resize an image. Obviously if you have a very low resolution image even with the best software in the world you would not be able to enlarge it dramatically.

There is also a plugin for photoshop which uses fractal expansion and it does give truly excellent results, the only problem is i cant recall it's name Sad sorry.

Both of the above pieces of software are aimed more at the professional and therefore cost a lot! I can highly recommend a prgram called 'The Gimp' which has many of the features of photoshop and it free open source software.

Hope this helps!
