Its been a while sence i used AI, but im sure that you can make the basic Triangle curve shutter first, then make a Circle, and some how send the tringle to Path on the Circle in a pattern.
Or you can try and find a James Bond intro title and Trace it? might take a while but most of the stuf in AI is.
