And anythign else that could be used in a movie!
Can't help you with the props, more a local thing. You can google for some indfo sites, like dv info net for ideas. But here are a few.
Lights: Home depot has worklights that give out lots of light, people use those. Try and get the ones on tall stands, most lighting placement has the lights angled down and off to the side of your actors. Also, small to mdium fluorescents can give a nice soft light; again you'll need to figure out how to mount or hang them. Also, especially with fluorescents, white balance the video camera with them on to cut down on there tendency to give a greenish cast.
Editing; start with MS Movie Maker or Apples iMovie. They're free and come with the OS. Once you've got a rough cut, you can download Adobe Premiere, (or any of a number of other pro editing programs) and use them in 'tryout' mode for free for 30 days. That should be enough time to learn the program and add the special titles and effects you need.
As to storyboarding, the ones that come with pre-built characters and scenes will cost a lot. But if you can create the pics in photoshop, a good program for both scripting and storyboarding is Celtx. Great scriptwriting-pre-production software, and it's free! Hoghly recommended.
Good luck!!!
theres someting for ya
oh wow, thanks for the logo man. That is exactly what i was trying make on my comp but my retarded computer just wou;nd't do it. Stupi uncoperative comp.
30 Dollar Film school is a great book to get if you are really interested in making movies with no budget and talks about getting props and equipment donated. Its also a great resource for learning about filming techniques. If you have $20 (its a few years old so you get a discount) spend on a book you should look into it.
That book tells you more than anyone could in one forum post.
Thanks for the reference. I got a used copy of it from Amazon.com for 10 bucks! THANKS!
