Have any of you had this problem?
I opened firefox on my grandparents computer and it takes nearly 5 minutes to launch the damn thing. it's really getting annoying. Sad

Weird, I have a LiveCD with Firefox and the max time to open is about 20 seconds in a Pentium III machine.

I suggest to use a program like CCleaner to improve the performance of the PC.

If you have plugins (extensions), try to unload them, or if you have a big bookmark file.

I will use CC cleaner
also sorry about the type-o it was very laggy.
I don't have any extensions any more I took them all off to make it faster.

You could also start Firefox in safemode which does not load plug-ins and disables other features. Is Firefox the only application that responds so slowly or is this also true to other applications?

It takes less than 1 minute for my firefox to start up and it's considered slow already.
I have a lot of addons.
