[HTML][FORM]change the size of a input select

hey all

its so easy i cant find the right one on google:P

i want to change the size of on select field

not the size in
-
-
-

but in "the size of the length" the problem is that the text is smaller then i want it to be.. and when u select thinks the rest comes

i got on example how the size change

as u can see the first select change of size when u select it how can i keep the unchangeable

Well, if I understood your problem... You can change the width by using CSS, and if you don't want to create something in your file you can just do this...

Code:
<select style="width: 50px">
<option>Option 1</option>
<option>Option 2</option>
<option>Option 3</option>
</select>


Just change the width to whatever you want... It can even be percentages, like if you did 50% the box would be 50% of the page width...

So just stick 'style="width: 50px"' into the select code and change it to whatever width you would like.

instead of using style attribute directly in select field you can assign a class to that select field and define a style in your style sheet.

i m saying this becuase style attribute is depreciated in xhtml1.1 ..however if this is not necessary if your markup is html4.01.
