I just purchased a new domain with godaddy and set it up like it said in the tutorial. The domain works in that when I type it in it links to my site. The problem I have is that my site is a forum (XMB) and it links to the login page for the forum. When I put in the username and password it just brings me back to the login page. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

I'm guessing the forum was installed prior to the purchase of the domain and is therefore configured for your frih.net subdomain. As such the problem is likely to just be your configuration. I don't use XMB though quickly browsing their docs try opening config.php and change $full_url 's value to your new domain.
