Scroll in pane for Absolute controls in Java

ThePolemistis
Hi,

I have a pane which i add control such as labels, buttons and text. The positioning of these control are not done thru layout managers but absolute positions.

I have correct added a JScrollPane to a JPanel. However, when these absolute controls are positioned outside the JPanel view, teh scroll does not appear.

It is possible for me to produce scroll if I use setPreferredSize(x,y) where x,y > the JPanel view.

Does anyone know how to make scroll appear for asolute controls in a panel...

I was wondering if it is possibel to detect a control such as Jlabel which has been added which is the furthest away in both width and height in a JPanel??
