I am actually trying to find quality online, audio, and written materials that could prove useful. I am getting married in a few weeks to THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN THE WORLD, and she is from Tokyo. She does not speak very much English, and I want to do all I can to help her improve quickly so she does not feel frustrated with american culture. It is inevitable that there will be culture shock, but if she can communicate comfortably, i hope to keep her shock to a minimum. Of course, i plan on getting her in an ESL course as well, but I am not confident in the ability of ESL in my neighborhood to really be as effective as we both desire. As a new married couple, we will be on a very limited budget at first, so i do not want to waste our resources on materials that are mediocre at best. Can anyone offer suggestions that might help? She has a few years of English, but even watching a TV show is impossible for her. Thanks very much in advance ^ ^
