Bruce Lee was a great martial artist, a great man and a great teacher, BUT the Word of God (The Bible) is truly the only thing that will bring you peace and joy! Lee's philosophies were his own, the Bible is straight from the Lord God! Wink

Just like the Qu'ran is straight from Allah, the Dharmachakra straight from Lord Buddha... what's your point?

Come on now, let's not pick on Whong. Do you know how much money Fundamentalist Christian Organizations spend on their foreign ministries now that they aren't finding the reception they think they deserve in the U.S.? I mean Pat Robertson can only afford to condemn so many cities to God's Wrath for not supporting scientific creationism in their school systems before he starts to lose his credibility (oops, too late Pat).

As for Bruce Lee... Yeah, he was a great martial artist and a great philosopher, but except for his philosophy on fighting he really didn't have anything really original that wasn't in Taoist philosophy already.

Probably the best thing about it was that a few more people would wade through The Tao of Jeet Kune Do a lot better then The Tao Te Ching and be able to understand it better (umm, what was the point of that dreaming butterfly?)

Quite frankly, all this is news to me. I've seen some Bruce Lee films, but I've never heard anything about his philosphical teachings. Has he written any books on this?
And what does philosophy in fighting mean?

One of his biggest philosophy in fighting was to be like water. Be fluid and able to adapt to your surrounding. In most traditional martial artists taught a style of fighting that was set in stone which gave a fixed set of moves and attitudes that defined their specific form of fighting.

http://www.shawnolson.net/a/55/bruce-lees-philosophy.html article explains a fairly good view of what Bruce Lee believed in.

Yeah, I mentioned The Tao of Jeet Kune Do which is largely a philisophical work (with training notes and ideas). I'm also guessing that you have seen movies like Enter The Dragon, perhaps you remember at the beginning when they show him instructing a young student? THe best example of a movie with his philosophy though is probably the one that he wrote but never started production on. He meant to start it after Game of Death called Circle of Iron (the movie was made later with David Carradine taking the part Bruce Lee wrote for himself).

I don't know, but there is a part of ethics that is lookig at the reasons that someone like Dork Bush can insist that killing is a sin but send hundreds to death row and cause the death of thousands in a war over "American interests".

It is theorised that there are no ethical absolutes, and that what we see as ethical absolutes (Like "do not kill" or "do not stamp on kittens") are actually the product of years of evolution, making morality a human attribute.

All People In this World Have different Kind Of philosophies, their Thoughts are Different Same like That all the fingers of hand are not alike...

Man speaks In term Of philosophies or think In a way of Philosopher is the Treated Result Of the environment In which he lives, This is all baout The environmental Facotr which is the biggest facter according to me

Because its gives birth to evil Or an angel..
