I installed Xubuntu 7.04 (beta) on my computer, and when I switch to another terminal (ctrl+alt+F1) the font gets extremely huge. I also experienced system lock up when tying to log-in via another terminal. After entering my password, the system just froze and non of the keys would work. Has anyone else experienced similar issues with this release?
Hmm, that is bizarre. I've had very good experiences with Xubuntu and Feisty Fawn.
I have a similar problem with Ubuntu 6.06.1 where my system freezes whenever I switch ttys. This also happens when I attempt to restart or shutdown the system.
There's an article on ubuntuforums that says you should disable the 'splash' argument on your kernel while booting. You can do this by editing /boot/grub/menu.lst as root and removing the word 'splash' from your kernel boot line. It worked for me initially but now things are back to abnormal.
