I have blogs on wordpress, livejournal, blogger, myspace. Some of them in Russian and other in English. For posting I use Flock browser (like firefox).
Livejournal- it's like diary for me, on blogger (there I have many blogs) I post about my achatina snails(interesting stories and photo), my drawings and other interesting stuffs.

I do indeed have a blog. It is quite recent but I try to post at least once a day (if I have something worthy to say).

After searching around the various options I plumped for the one which seemed best which was WordPress and I am glad I did. It has surpeassed the high hopes I had for it - a great piece of software.

My blog is new being just nine days old but I love writing and it already has 20+ items to read. The amount of writing may slow down over time but I want to continue to post items I would like to read, so hopefully will other candy and chocolate lovers.

Its not so much a personal thing but it allows me a little more freedom to air my personality than the main site of forum does. I still stick to the main theme of candy, exchanging and news.

* Add a more personal slant to articles and items I add to the site or the club
* Air news and views that may be of interest to my visitors and members of my club

Blogs don’t have to be a journal about your own life and it is fun to add items and air my views in a slightly more formal and structured way than a forum.

Wordpress is the best blog software around for me. I've used others in the past, like Nucleus (or something like that), but Wordpress has more features and it's easier to use.

I have one at datter.com (see my recent article about the digg.com user revolt). I've been blogging for years and years now but sort of infrequently. I'll get away from it for a bit, then back into it for a bit... trying to stop that and keep at it more lately though.

I always prefer Wordpress for blogging, though I've also used wordpress.com (hosted) and blogger.com for simple things here and there. You can't beat the flexibility of a self-hosted wordpress install though.

It's easier for me to lecture myself about things and plan my day if I can look at it as I go, and I just upload things to the internet as an afterthought really. I've had one for a while. The only success I've had is 400,000 pageviews after the infamous 'hacking coke machines video' I made last year. After that I got my first payment from Adsense and I abandoned it. Now I've started again, and it's gaining, I have about 20 unique pageviews a day. Still pretty lame but it will improve.

A few years ago, when blogging was just starting to be big, I thought I'd give the whole thing a try... I used to "plan" what I would put in my posts on the commute home from work, and even got as far as designing a site template for my blog...

However, in common with a lot of people here, I just never *quite* got in the habit of keeping it up, so my blog died a death! Sad

Such a loss to the internet world!

For the record i used www.blogger.com, and never had any problems with it - just never got around to posting my thoughts!

Yes. I am proud blogger. I use Wordpress 2.2 to make everything run smoothly. I really enjoy WP since it's user friendly and also it is very customizable with lots of plugins to choose from to make your site better. However, it is highly recommended to have PHP knowledge since that's the only way you can edit and make your own themes.

I used to have a blog in support of my main site, however, I found that most of the things there could be an actual article, rather than a blog post. The one disappointment with WP has been that for some reason, any new post I make on my current install breaks the design of the site (default template), but otherwise its a good system.

I have tried to open my own blog couple of times. I just did not know what to blog about. I used blogspot and I posted for about a week and then I would get bored. I even tried to open a blog hosted here in frihost where 5 of us decided to post everyday but it never happened.

Yeah, I own a blog--a personal blog of sorts. It was originally supposed to be an Artemis Fowl fansite, until I got too lazy to start, and so it transformed into a blog instead.

I've been writing on this blog since 2004, but I started the whole blogging thing on an FF8 fansite since 2001 [the daily updates became more and more blog-like, and my visitors liked it anyway Razz

I have just started a public one up again because I kept finding wonderful poems and things as part of my degree course, and I wanted to share them. I've never had a blog before and to be honest I used to not see much sense in keeping one. But for quite a while now I have been thinking about starting one. As one of the other posters on this thread said, 'so that I can look back in 10 years'. I think that would be very interesting. Especially due to the fact that right now my life is in a horrible mess.

So, if I do create a blog, and keep it up, I will (I hope) be able to look back on it in much better times and see that my life has improved and things have gotten better. (They can't really get much worse at this point, at least I HOPE they can't get worse!!)

I just downloaded WordPress and when I get my hosting account here with Frihost I'll probably put my blog up here. In the mean time, I'm going to go ahead and start it with a pen and paper, like a diary, and catch it up online when my account is created.

I think that they are used too much, and I don't even like to keep up on other people's blogs. If I want information on something, well then I think I would be better off looking at a news website, or something like that.
