Note : No Indian will agree with this discussion, but I started it to know how many are there who are not satisfied with his perfomance finally ? 
Please add the +ve's and -ve's of Our Wold's best champ Sachin Tendulkar over here. 
Please keep this discussion in a very cool manner !! 
As I am a great fan of Sachin 
, his role in the squad is most worthful for India, but sachin has to score some quick runs and he should play a gigantic role in the middle to become successful batting lineup.
I used to like the player when he was emerging as a star as a good player, but due may be due to lots of publicity and stuffs his ranking has fallen, and this play has dramatically decreased. The charm of this play is no more. So can't trust this player anymore for the win.

Pashmina, I agree with you 
and moreover BCCI have to search for a futuristic Sachin and according to me, its impossible to replace him with any guy. Let's see what happens next 
i like what the BCCI has done for the tour to bangladesh...no seniors apart from dravid...its time to get rid of sachin and teh other "seniors" and bring in new talent...look what its done for australia and south africa!!

I disagree 
with you and BCCI also, as the captaincy of Dravid is not fruitful for India so far.
According to me, He is the best player but not proved as a good captain. And moreover he has to be the captain for India in 60's & 70's as his thoughts are likely to be that period and his strategies of atacking field, choosing bowlers, batting line-up, etc., will not be looking right.
Any how Mr.Wall is a great player for India than Sachin and i'll always believe him as a Team-winning player.
Waht aboout you Orno ??? Actually Sachin is going thru a bad patch for the last 3 or 4 yrs. But there is no denying that he is not a match winner. But still I thinks that he has something more to offer to Indian cricket provided he is 100% fit. Actually it is difficult to find a futuristic sachin, as there is only one Sachin and no other. Any how one day he has to hang his gloves. He could be there for atleast the next 2 yrs.
No big name, No big fame, only Big gamers are required for Indian team.

I think he is not at all having that much of time also ie.., 2 years.
Just have some knocks again in his own style and he has to support the young players. He has to become a trainer & God father for all up-coming youngsters. | bukaida wrote: |

Its me Sipra again striking with this discussion. 
Firstly, Thanks all for participating in this discussion.
Coming to the point,
Finally, the Great master-blaster Sachin Tendulkar 
will be not going to play the Bangladesh Tour as it sounds, his place in Indian Team is not so significant now.
Let's see what happens in future. 
Its not just Sachin who is not being taken to Bhangladesh, but also Sourav, who atleast for the last 6 months or so (since his comeback) has been India's best batsmen. They are just not being taken in the ODI squad because at the end of the day its Bangladesh (yes they have beaten us a couple of times). S&S experties is not needed this time, bcos Bangladesh will still be humiliated with this lower strength team. 
All I will say is they dare DROP these players for anyother tours, as it is Bilip Vegesarkar has been on a roll continuosly saying that Sachin & Sourav are only being rested and will be back next tour.
And as for the main discussion, Should Sachin be there?

Moreover some Companies are also dimissing their agreements with Sachin as the ambassador.

Now Its not for SA... Its time to go on English men...SAchin has remained the top scorers in the last three one day series. Still people are after his head...
Sachin should just retire. His days are over.
I mean, it's time to give new talent a chance. In a country like India, there are so many brooding cricketers.
Give someone like Yuvraj a chance.
sachin should have the wisdom to retire now, coz it is high time he does it

I think Sachin deserves to be in the squad. I may not be able to justify it, but he's an absolutely brilliant player whose got a lot to give to cricket. I'm in awe of Ganguly atm. Ganguly was out of the team , at an age where it looked like he wud never make it back. And look at him now. So I am sure sachin has a lot of cricket in him

Just a simple question, WHY Should Sachin Retire when he is in one of the best forms he has ever been in his life, or you guys mean getting out in the 90s is out of form 
Plus if you want to get new blood then Sachin retiring is not the solution, but a well organized rotation policy would do the trick, as just Sachin is not the senior player but on this current Australian tour we have about 5 players who will not be in the next tour for sure because of their seniority.
As far as Yuvraj is concerned well he has proved he is very capable again in the last test against Pakistan, but will suffer until we have a good rotation policy because in the near future I don't envisage any of our 5 senior most players calling it quits. well whatever happens...but sachin is a legend and he shud only retire when he himself feels he wont be able to contribute anymore to the game

Talent cant be new or old! Just because he has been there from many years it doesnt means he should retire. and it doesnt matter how old he is. I never get bored watching him play and if you do than you're not a cricket lover..As long as hes scoring runs and hes fit enough he should NEVER evr retire.
He's sensible enough to decide when to retire and we should let him make the choice.Ok if u want sachin to make way for the youngsters, can u please name any so called youngsters who could replace Sachin. Can u point any youngsters who is as committed as SAchin...

Sachin is the King and still remains the King of Indian Batting....No one is there to replace him, until he calls it a day..
