Whom would you like to see running for President?
Why?
Do you think Barrack Obama's name is a handicap or his mixed ethnicity matters? Is there racial prejudice that lies unspoken to the idea of a Black President-a first?
Do you think Hilary Clinton has too much riding on the 'First Woman President" banner?
What about the other candidates?
Clearly, the next elections should see a change of leadership - as the numbers show. The Democrats now have control over the Senate - a much stronger position since the last elections.

Frankly, I don't really take party sides when it comes to politics. When I vote, I hardly ever look at the political party, but more the individual him/herself.

However, I do believe that between the Democratic candidate possibles, Obama does seem, at least to me, the better choice. Hilary is way too much full of herself. She is also way too Democratic. I am not far the US pulling out of Iraq quickly and completely, which is probably her number one goal.

(These are just my own opinions)

Which is why I listed the candidates.
For all I know, the Republicans may win again.
So rather than a Dem Vs Repub Poll, it might be more interesting to know what you feel about candidates from within a given Party.

I think it would be interesting to have a female president and I would certainly vote for her.

I'm hoping you would base your vote on something else besides just that fact that she would be the first woman, right?

You have your own opinions, and I do not wish to sway them. I simply am quite against people voting for presidential candidates, or rather anything, on first-impressions.

Sure Hilary would be the first woman, but Obama would be the first non-white (you can't really say "African American" because he is only half) president. I base my opinion of him being the better candidate because of his opinions, goals, and non-political life.

I'm sick of party politics. I am sick of Democrats. I am sick of Republicans. A change in leadership will not change the downward spiral we, as America, are entering.

I'm almost wondering if some drastic change is needed...

Party politics solves nothing. All we get are stalemates because nobody can agree to disagree, or compromise to make things better.

And, do you really think these candidates can run $200 million campains without owing something to someone? *Enter special interest groups* Half of me wants to believe that George Bush promised the oil refineries that he'd have gas over $3.00 a gallon by the end of his second term.

That's the way in party politics: you cheat and/or sleep your way to the top!

I would suggest that you give Obama a closer look... he would like to end partisan politics in America - a daunting task, but nonetheless his intentions are noteworthy.

Although i think that Hillary will be winning for most of the race, she will not win in the end. She will completely destroy Obama with here war-chest of money. However the other players seem to be keeping quite and out of her way. I feel this in on purpose. I feel John Edwards will prevail in the end as the Democratic Candidate.

Hillary has a few people in America that "like" her but no one that "Loves" her. She will fall as soon as she hits a slow point in her campaign. Not even Bubba will be able to save this Bitch.

War chest of money? Obama has raised just as much - only he received donations from twice as many people... check your sources.

That's the most impressive part - he broke the record for the amount of people who have donated. Plus, he hasn't accepted money from any PAC and lobbyist that has offered it! Obama WILL get the Democratic nomination - they know that it is impossible to be defeated by running him.

And - how do you suppose that Edwards can run a campaign while his wife battles cancer? It will be nearly impossible for him to be able to run an effective campaign - I guarantee you that he will need to postpone several appearances to tend to his wife.

Again... check your sources, your argument is weak.
