Still thinking to cheat AdSense? Stop that. It will never bring you anywhere. You might pull it off with smaller ads network, but definitely not with Google. Here are some detection methods they might use. At the very least, they have the resources to do so.
IP Address
If the AdSense click is originated from the same IP Address as the one used for accessing your AdSense account, your account is flagged.
Cookies
Most home users do not use static IP Address for Internet connection. In most cases just disconnect and reconnect will give you a new IP Address. But don?t forget, Google has set cookies on your computer.
Other Google Services
Thinking that you are safe just because you do not access your AdSense account? Think again. This time, consider these: GMail, Google Earth, Google Calendar, Google Search, Google Toolbar, Google Talk, Google Sitemap, Google Desktop, Blogger, and so on, and so on. With the wide range of services they provide, Google can trace the originator of most (or probably almost all) clicks.
Click Pattern 1
Oh, why this computer / IP address / person is so trigger-click-happy on this particular website but never click on the ads on other sites?
Click Pattern 2
And why is it that people accessing these sites direct (type-in URL or from bookmark) tend to be very active ad-clickers compared with those referred from search engine or other sites?
Click Pattern 3
And why the ad-clickers like to hit and run, compared with non ad-clickers that surf a few pages before leaving?
Click-Through-Rate (CTR)
Your CTR may range from 0.5% to 10%, but if it exceeds a certain point (probably around 10%), you are flagged.
Geo-Location
Used Urchin (Google Analytics) before? Then you should know that Google can trace traffics origin down to the small town. Different IP doesn?t mean much. Unless you site is really targetted to one small geo-point, a high number of clicks from nearby location will get you banned quickly.
Hardware address?
MAC address of the LAN card, modem, and router works almost like a fingerprint. I?m not sure if Google can track this, but probably they do. They have rocket scientist, remember?
Advertisers conversion rate
Ad click is one thing. But does it bring value to the advertisers? If none of the clicks on your site translate to conversion to the advertiser, you are in trouble. First the Smart-Pricing hits, then your AdSense account disabled.
Search Engine Ranking
Your website is not indexed on any search engine, not linked by any prominent website, but get consistently high traffic? That sounds like something is in play. Regardless of whether it is an adware-embedded software, spam, trojan clickbot, or intentionally installed click-exchange network, it doesn?t sound right.
Webpage design
How about the ?click here? or ?support us?? Google has the best search engine in the world. Is it really that hard to find those words?
Combo
Each of these detection methods might seem rather weak. But combine them together, and not many click-fraud can pass-through these filters. Even the smartest clickbot will have a hard time.
In short, it is almost impossible to cheat AdSense in the long term. Instead of spending time, money, and effort trying to outsmart Google, try these tips to improve your AdSense earning.
Disclaimer : I?m not working for Google nor in anyway know anyone inside Google. Google might or might not use these methods to detect click-fraud. I?d believe that they have much better detection mechanism.

I forgot the the source from where I took it from..
anyway enjoy the article..

thanks a lot for the advise... its very useful to all the google adsense users
Hobbit
Not very good news. I was going to create a "local" site, which means most or all of the clicks would come from the same isp and similar ip's. I'll have to tell them.
pashmina
I heard that they have more than this tracking method..
like exchanging the clicks.
Anyway they are very cleaver in this.

Thanks for this information. Also thanks to animal for pointing this out to me. I don't want to get banned from adsense.

First, let me make clear that I think Google AdSense is one of the most extraordinary services on the web and is hugely important in making large parts of the web sustainable over time. It’s a new service that they’re constantly enhancing, and so I expect them to fix this problem eventually. The issue today, though, is that Google AdSense displays ads that are inappropriate and even dangerous given the page’s content, and offers no way to fix the problem.
Adsense Optimization: Secrets of getting more clicks on your Google Ads

More CTR (Click Thru Ratio) means more clicks on your Google Ads. But, is CTR all about position and colors of your ads? No! It’s a lot more than that. CTR also depends upon the quality of traffic, relevancy of ads, and even the subject of your website. Let’s get in detail:
Do you own a High CTR website?

Yes! CTR varies from Industry to industry too. It depends upon the keywords you are using to make your web page. It has been observed that more technical the topic is (but not necessarily) less CTR it will give you (for example Search Engine Optimization, Affiliate Network - exceptions are always there), but still works if the Ad content is well written.

However, this is only one condition; there are many undiscovered conditions that affect the CTR of keywords. At times, a particular season also has an effect on the performance of keywords. For example family of ‘Turkey recipe’ keyword is more active around November and December only and a quite sluggish rest of the year. It becomes really necessary to study the behavior of keywords before starting a massive website of Adsense around a topic.

Google provide a lot of services on the web...
so they can easily track the clicks to detect any fraudulent cases...
haha... Cool
pashmina
its just useless trying to fool google as they will find it out in anyways
regards
Oh god, I am starting to get worried, what can I react if they THINK I 've cheated them? Nothing but getting banned. What a passive motion! Crying or Very sad
pashmina
you don't have to get worried about anything. I used to get worried too. But at the end i stopped to.
If you cheat is anyways, in one way or the other they are gonna find out no matter how cleaver you are. so just play fair and they won't harm you.

Thanks for all this info.
But can you tell me what is CTR.
And about its increasing rate. How to stop it getting 10%.
I have a adsense account from a long time but started using it some months ago.
pashmina
CTR mean click tracking ratio you can decrease this if your impression is higher. or just control the click rate if its being clicked purposely.

I don't see a way for them to get your MAC address... Really, unless a company which owns a router shared the MAC address that accessed it, it would be nearly impossible for Google to get the MAC address of people... Google would need to literally hack everything on the connections, and by that, I mean to put a sniffer on a computer which is inside of a (W)LAN network. That's not gonna happen...

And... yes, it's foolish to try to fool Google Adsense Smile

no. They are humanbeings, they know that a publisher can accidently click on ads. So, i dont think they will ban you for just 1 click. Also if you can differenciate your click from other people's clicks, you will see that you was not paid for the click.

no problem!! I too have yet clicked more than once just to see the impact, but its not harmful if you dont click too much time.
utsav2707
we should not fraud google by intentionally clicking on adsense ads becoz it will waste the precious money of some advertiser.

no it really doesnt. Google tracks that this click is coming from the same publisher's PC, so it doesnt pay you anything. It can track you in a lot of different ways like Cookies, IP, when you login to the Adsense or any other google account from the same PC, and by your identiy when you login to any google service from any other PC.

But still you should not click on ads, because one day they will catch you and you will be fired (acount may be expelled.)

even if you click your ads accidentally you can just report to google about it and they will understand.
