Yahoo offering $1.99 domain registration

Hi guys -- just a head's up!

I was looking at yahoo.com this morning, and it seems they are running a promotion; $1.99 for domain registration for new customers.

Has anyone gone through them for domain registration before? There doesn't seem to be any catches, but one never can be too careful. Last thing I want is my card getting hit with all sorts of interesting surcharges from them.

I registered one domain through Yahoo, just to get the $1.99 deal. No issues, but I haven't transferred it away yet!

Once the term is up, I'll transfer over to GoDaddy. I've heard that some registrars make it difficult to transfer but haven't run into any issues so far myself.

Well i have heard that Yahoo wont let you to transfer domains to other registrars from them. better check there TOS again.
