You know this is an old grunge band. really gr8, in fact, its my favorite one. Nirvana was led by Kurt cobain ( guitar and vocals), Krist novoselic ( bass) and Dave E. Grohl (drummer and back vocals), They just realesed a new version of Live tonight SOld Out(DVD) and it contains new pictures and unseen footage.

I don't really like them....
But, I tend to listen to all 80's music, and a bit of 70's. 
1990 and on is when they started making bad music in my opinion.... Anything before that is cool with me. Nirvana is a good band, but they have only one REALLY good song which is 'Smells like a teen spirit'.
But they have more good songs, but not something really special.
I used to like them. Now I hate them. The music is boring and the vocals are annoying. They have one good song though, I can't think of the name.
There are many song so much better than smells like teen spirit, like sappy,lounge act,Drain You, dumb.etc. In fact, cobain didnt enjoy to play smells like teen spirit as much as drain You.
Vocals are enoying? I dunno, i respect your opinion.
Music from 70's? like disco? mmm, it sucks.I like from 90s and on.

cosmain7, there was much more than disco in the 70s. A lot of rock that is still fairly popular came out during that time period.
you're right. There are many rock bands from 70's. really good.
I like Jimmmy H, led Z, Def Leopard, something like that.

I liked (well still do) Nivarna..... I came across them by seeing this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixyTNd-Ln38 through a drunken mist one hot summer night in a Newquay bar , I could only hear the general sound as it was playing and said to my girlfriend " I like this who is it ?" when she had stopped pissing her pants at me she explained who it was supposed to be, of cause I went and got the album the next day and they are still one of fav bands
Dave Grohl went on to form the Foo Fighters..... yeah I like them to I love Nirvana... too bad Kurt Kobain is dead. They were great.

Nirvana pretty much WAS grunge, not just the music... He was grunge all over.
I remember listening to his music in the 90's
