Games in linux!
What games do you have in linux?
I love bzflag!
I think its good!

Yeah, a list of games for Linux would be nice. Some people have Linux for their PS3, and its pretty boring if you don't have any games.

Hi,
I prefer a FPS named Quake 3 ! It's really fantastic and too speed even if it's a old game now ! ... but you know to learn all 2000 tweaks lines before to to go on the net and practice more and more ...

Sauerbraten is a great game for linux! Check out the screenshots!

Of course, it is free and open-source. Also updated quite frequently. Check it out - great game. Can play again real people on the internet, people on LAN, or just the computer. Love the graphics!

I play a bit Cube 2/Sauerbraten, which I think is, as already said, a great game. I love it.

You might want to check out FreeCiv too, it's a free version of Civilization. Could be something. Or else you have Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory which also is a very good game.

What about getting windows games to run on linux? Ive heard theres a way to go about doing that but its very difficult. Something to do with code? The incompatibility issue for games is the one reason I havent checked out linux yet.

its called WINE , can emulate windows apps on linux, works for other stuff besides games, i got IE 6 running on my linux pc (theres a good app called IES4LINUX that is pretty good and installs IE 5, 5.5 and 6.0 automatically and configures everything for you , check out

WINE website - http://www.winehq.com/
IES4LINUX website - http://www.tatanka.com.br/ies4linux/page/Main_Page

Also theres a company that re-worked the WINE engine specifically to get Windows games running on linux, they're called Transgaming and the app is called Cedega, lots of new and popular games work with Cedega and they have a full listing of which games are supported/not supported on their website, only thing is you have to buy Cedega (i think its a subscription based payment model where you make monthly payments to keep using Cedega)

I haven't actually got Cedega although i might look into it soon, i'm dualbooting Ubuntu and WinXP , use Ubuntu for everything except gaming (well i did install ScummVM on linux and play all the old Lucasarts games like Monkey Island and Day of the Tentacle Very Happy), and use WinXP partition to play all the new games, although i want to completely transition into Linux and get rid of WinCrap forever... hopefully Linux gaming gets more popular and more support from developers...

WINE is just ok for running windows games, but a much better choice is Cedega (non-free).

Anyone play X-Moto? It's a 2D motocross biking game with good physics.
