php script to set up ftp users on linux

Hi there I would like to know if anyone out there knows where I can get a script which sets up ftp users on a linux machine,

I am using fedora core 5 and would like a utility that can be integrated into a php based program where I can creat, delete and edit ftp users

any tips or pointers would be great

Hi there all, if no one knows about such a script I think I will write it myself however I just need some pointers as to various paths to take with regard to the design.

path 1

write a shell script and integrate it into PHP

does anyone have such a case where shell scripts are called from php and whats the most elegant way of writting such a php to shell interface

Write a Python/Jython script
