What's your guitar-playing rig?

froginabox
What kind of guitars, pedals, amps, etc do you own?

I'll start with just my pedals.... some of these do double-duty between guitar and keyboards

EH Big Muff PI (Russian Muff)
EH Bass Balls
EH Small Stone
no-name brand Metal Distortion pedal
Crybaby Wah (standard)
Musician Sound Design wah (keyboard only)
Boss MetalZone (with a few caps and resistors replaced)
Line 6 Delay (the green one)
Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face
Moog Moogerfooger
Moog Moogerfooger MURF
BBE Sonic Stomp (maximizer)

...and of course the venerable Ibanez Tube Screamer!

My amps are easy - a small 10 watt Crate solid-state for practicing alone, a Sunn Beta Lead 2x12 combo for band practice and gigs.
Sickness
Gibson SG --> MetalZone --> Marshall MG15fx Embarassed (But I'm going to make a DIY 1watt tube amp very soon Mr. Green)
Cedar Speeder
Hey froginabox, how do you like the Moog Moogerfooger? How often do you find a good use for it?
TheGustav
Heh... I bought a cheap guitar to learn on. Smile

Epiphone SG, with a 10watter epiphone amp. Very Happy
froginabox
Well, that's the way to start! My first guitar was the $80 Epiphone Les Paul Junior Special, and that Crate amp I talked about above was a hand-me-down from a guy at school who hated the thing because it didn't have reverb (he's a reverb freak).

Im gonna break the trend hear and put down my bass setup Very Happy
Yamaha RBX270J 4 string fretted bass
J&D 2400 4 string fretless bass (thru neck, so lush!)
Behringer BOD-100 bass overdrive pedal

Volume pedal
Ashdown Electric Blue 15-180 combo amp (15" speaker 180W RMS and built like a brick s**t house, cant go wrong!)
datter
Strat plugged into either a crappy little Peavey amp for messing around on or into Guitar Tracks 3 pro/Guitar rig 2 on my computer for recording. Either way I'm pretty effect-free though I do mess around on the computer with some of it.

Pilot
I play a fretless Fender Jazz bass (midnight wine), through a Behringer V-Amp pro, to an Ampeg B4 head, to a 4x10 cabinet. I control it all with a behringer FCB1010 MIDI pedal.

I'm looking to eventually expand to another J-Bass, a 4x10-15 cab and maybe a Line 6 rack mount Pod. Just gotta keep plugging at gigs.

Relly not my man. believe me these things suck for heavy use. a few years of touring and death will soon ensue. mine ended up in a cardboard box on top of my amp.

Those Ashdowns are glorious.

As far as the little zoom pedals.... I'd rather have the real thing that doesn't involve menu diving.

I absolutely love it!!!!! I lucked out and got it slightly used from a local guitar shop (I know the owner, he gave a decent deal on it).

I play keyboards and guitar, and I find that when I want to make some funky sounds with the guitar I can use the moogerfooger to great effect. Also, when I am playing something spacey on the keyboards, it tends to enhance those types of sounds too.

I think I remember reading an article in Guitar Player magazine that John Frusciante of the Red Hot Chili Peppers uses one live...

InDEED. I tried a demo version of that at my local music shop, that software is absolutely incredible. Not much latency, and sounds great!

I don't have much stuff. I have a simple guitar and a simple pedal, with all the effects on it.

pah Wink i have a midi pedal board and guitar rig. its a great piece of software but not a patch on having all the single stomps. Tend to use the midi pedalboard though for triggering loops and looping guitar parts then on the second page run guitar rig inside ableton. now thats th fun bit.

Stomp boxes are fun, but if you have too many you end up with nasty line-hum.

Currently I have a flying V (that has a very long story to it - sounds good and plays surprisingly well) and a J&D les paul copy (excellent body and construction, only let down by the pickups) and I play them through an ashton GA4012R, using only inboard effects (reverb and distortion).

I dont really see a point in having a whole lot of effects, the only ones that would interest me enough to by them are flanger/chorous and maybe a valve distortion.

EDIT:
Today I picked up an Ibanez RG and an SX jazz bass.
