Are they going to make the playoffs?
Tough schedule left, and they're pretty hot and cold.
I keep trying to get a conversation going about them but I don't think we have many hockey fans in the house.

don't you mean the toronto makemelaughs?
Well they have 3 games left... If Montreal and Toronto win their next 2 games, I know for sure that Toronto won't back down in the final game. The most exciting situation for this would be if Montreal and Toronto have to play each other in their final game of the regular season against each other just to see who'll advance to the playoffs. I'll be just as happy if Montreal loses their next 2 games and the Leafs win their next 2.
they were better off missing the playoffs. The Sabres won't lose in round 1. But I suppose you would never know. The Oilers beat the Red Wings last year
Fair enough... even though I'm supposed to adamantly defend my team here, they probably didn't stand a chance against Buffalo. Buffalo is a team of fast, young snipers which is pretty much the opposite of Toronto. However, the leafs have been known to step it up in the playoffs. I'd say the biggest showstopper would have been Raycroft though. We could count on him to put in 2 good games, but that's about it. The chances of him pulling off 4 steals are pretty minimal.
I remember a few weeks ago when the leafs beat Montreal to try clinching the 8th seed in the East. At the moment I was thrilled that the leafs have fought through adversity the whole season and yet was able to reach the playoffs. Of course at this time I knew that their last obstacle would be to see the Islanders lose to the Devils the next day. If both of these teams played at their potential level, you know for sure that the Devils would've destroyed the Islanders easily. But the bad news was that Brodeur was benched that game to dodge any injuries in a pointless game. Oh well, GO LEAFS GO next season!
The Leafs are a joke. It pleases me to see a city so full of themselves have such a shitty team. it will be 40 more years until they even come close to winning the Stanley Cup.
