i want to start this command at 12:03 AM:

Ktorrent @ 12:04 AM, first command again at 7:53 AM and kill ktorrent at the same time ... how to schedule them in Linux???

I have OpenSuse 10.2, KDE as Desktop Environment

cron is your friend. Check its manpage!
(The distribution and the desktop environment shouldn't make any difference since this program is older than either of those and is still in use - so it must be a Good Thing.)

Cron is the ultimate friend you will ever need. There are a few GUI's out there for Cron, but I would always trust what you put in the folder yourself as opposed to what some program "says" is going into the file you know?
