ITT: We each name a single portable music player that is better than the iPod, explaining why:

Sony VAIO Pocket: Out of production now, but I got 40gb w/color and pics (This was before the era of video) and 50 free song downloads, so effectively $350-400 for $200 and change.

iPod: i got it before this whole iPod rush, and i got it wholesale, so, although it is not a video, i got it for about $100 cheaper than you did and i got a whole bunch of accessories with it

ok i don't think this is what you intend to be in this thread, but hey an ipod is still a music player Wink

My player (Toshiba gigabeat, 20gb) is not better than an iPod, but it's cheaper and fits my demands. Basically, I needed a player with the best price - memory ratio, and this is the one. I can fit almost the complete music collection of mine on there.
