I have thought about links on a page to a file that not is htm or that kind. I mean if it is a .zip or .rar file. how does search engiens handle this? will they see it like a broken link. Should I put a rel="nofollow" on the links?
Another thing I have seen is that google can find flash. And in the search result it have the text from the swf file. Can google really read flash files? and in that case will it only follow the timeline or will it run all actionscript so if content only is showen with actionscript will be readen.

Google is clever enough to know that a file like a zip or exe is just that. There is no need to put the nofollow attribute on it.

Again Google knows a flash file when it sees it, but no, it doesn't read the file and see what text is on it. This is a big problem with flash sites and SEO.

Google can read PDF, TXT and DOC files though, and will index them.
