OpenOffice Spreadsheet Calender

jwellsy
Is there an easy way to make a spreadsheet that would use a daily calender function for the horizontal rows?

I want to make a simple spreadsheet for tracking my daily exercises.
I want each row to be one day.

It seems like there should be some way to have a perpetual calender auto fill the day month and year into the first column.

Any suggestions?
Thanks

A very simole way would be this:-

Select a whole column and format cells as date (choose how you want the date to appear, dd-mm-yy or dd-month-yyyy ect,.).

Now put your start date in the first cell (say A1) of the formatted column (eg 17-March-2007)

In cell A2 type "=A1+1" (without the quotes).
Select A2 and all cells under it that you want to have dates in.
From the EDIT drop down menu select FILL, DOWN.

You should now a column of consecutive dates.

The column dates will not alter by the actual date changing, only if you manualy change the start date in A1.

Hope this is what you wanted, I use MS Excel. Oh, and it may be worth locking the cells (apart from A1) so you don't inadvertantly overtype the contents.

Cheers.
