Program that produce animating gif?

Anyone know of any programs that is able to produce animating gif? Or rather, programs that is able to convert a video file into animating gif..

i have found one one, called video avatar, but it is not a freeware, so can anyone suggest any? Thanks alot.

You might want to try out one of the programs at:

They are all shareware or commercial. Freeware programs to convert video to animated gif's may be hard to find. The "animated gif banner maker", http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Multimedia_and_Graphics/Animated_GIF_Editors/Animated_GIF_Banner_Maker.html , looks like the most likely choice on that page, although it apparently only handles AVI videos.

Or, you can use Gif Aninmator to do that. But it is not a freeware.

You could try the GIMP. http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/ It is somewhat complicated, but it is free. Each frame would have to be on a different layer and then you export it as a gif. This works well for short thing like AIM icons or signatures, but can get complicated when you try doing a short film.

you can try using Adobe ImageReady, one of the best GIF makers, included with Photoshop Suite, bot programs are the best ones for image editing

Gif movie gear which produced awesome results..
Also Jasc software's Jasc Animation Shop is also worth a try...

If you want cool animation in flash then try AnimFx which is a great piece of software which produces ready to use cool flash animations...

Flash is the only thing I can think off off the top of my head. I guess there is ImageReady with Photoshop aswell, but thats tougher.
