What are everyone's favorite NES games? I'm sure this has been a topic before but I bet no one gets sick of remembering their favorite gaming system. As good as these new consoles are I will always have a sweet spot for the good ol' NES.
My faves are
Contra (on a good day, I can defeat this game without dying)
Blaster Master
Dragon Warrior
Ice Hockey
Dr. Mario
Tecmo Super Bowl
Shadowgate
Ninja Gaiden
I liked Duck Hunt and those Mario games.
Super Mario bros. 3 is the best game ever so it will be the clear number one!
Other good games are:

Flintstones - The Rescue of Dino & Hoppy
Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers 2
North and South
and the other mario games of course.

I had completely forgotten about North and South!! That game was sweet!
Other great games are of course all the marios and the original zelda. I was into dragon hunter as well. There were lots of great games for the original NES. But it's been so long since I've played any of them, that I have troubles remembering them all!
I'm very grateful for the VC on the Wii! I can't wait to download some of the great classic games that I used to have back in the day.NES was the first console system I can remember myself playing... So many good games I still remember even til this day. Some of the titles I played back then were Super Mario bros. Other then these, games I owned and loved include:

My favorite NES games are : Mario Bros., Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles, and the Duck Hunting game (with the gun).
I absolutely loved Duck Hunt and the Stupid Dog! Super Mario Bros Three ranks up there with duck hunt, because getting those whisltes, you can play any level at any time basically. Nintendo World Cup is also a good game. Kirby Adventures is cool too. I found a free emulator called Console Classix, and it has all my favorite games on there too. I use to play it all the time.

The best game by far for the NES was duck hunt! I remember playing that game for hours. It is probably the most repetative game i have ever played but I could play it for ever. The gun was so advanced at the time! How technology has grown!
Low G Man = still haven't found all the secreit levels.
Shatterhand = Still havent finnished it.
Super Mario Bros 1 = even on the gameboy color, I do this instead of reading in the bathroom.
Metroid = still never gets old, I've beaten it, but still haven't explored everything.
