i am using usb flash memory.. when i connect to my system it is not automatically detect. it says that drive is maulfunctioned. please give me a solution

Its probably the hardware is broken, try a different computer.
Are you using a HSB hub? check that. Try plugging it into one of the onbard USB sockets, XP should automatically detect it and shouldn't need any drivers just plug and play.
Failing that, as above, try using it on a diffrent pc.
