There's so many places that I really can't recommend one or two. The best thing to do is to call a travel agency and see what kind of tour packages they have and ask for brochures.

My information may be dated, but aren't westerns discouraged from visiting Mindanao in the south. I remember there used to be lots of kidnappings there years ago.
well im half filipino tho i cant speak or understand the language, and i dont live there. But i go there like every summer with my family
Its a good place, but it depends where you go. Just to let you know the South is more of hte risky side because of the terrorists and such. Well its full of muslims and Al Qaeda are reportedly to be there. Anyways Makati is a great place and we love it there. Its a tourist site so alot of shopping strips and hotels! And plus its really safe because basically everywhere you turn you see a policeman or security guard.
