Easy ways to convert .FLV files

For those who might be looking for a way to convert those ever-popular .flv files that you download from sites like Google Videos and YouTube into other formats, here are a couple of neat things I've found:

VixyNet - Here, you can convert a Flash Video / FLV file to MPEG4 (AVI/MOV/MP4/MP3/3GP) file online.

Biennesoft YouTube Downloader - This one will allow you to convert an FLV file to video for Ipod, PSP, Cell Phone, Windows Media, XVid and MP3.

Then there's Zamzar.com, which seems like the online conversion service with the most options.
Here, you can convert lots of filetypes to lots of other filetypes - images, audio & video.

i can see the potential for illegal activities here....such as download music videos/tv shows that have been posted on youtube and converting them Twisted Evil

I actually find that if I need to convert into or from .FLV then 'Super' video encoder always does a great job.

It has a whole load of encoding options and is reasonably fast at what it does. It sometimes takes up a bit of CPU power, but that isn't uncommon for video encoding utilites such as this. I was recommended it recently and it turned out to be really easy to use - it's a free application, so you can get it from here and see what you think.

ffmpeg (www.ffmpeg.org) is v good although command based and a bitof an animal there are some gui skins for it however.
