Hey guys, I was just wondering if any of you knew 'round about how high the settings could be for Call of Duty 2 if I was running a AMD Athlon 64 5200+ with 2GB of ram and a 256MB 7900GS could be. Round about, like what resolution and settings. Because they are the parts I am going to get for my new PC.
Specs
You will probably have a bottleneck at your GPU for that system.
What res will you be running? With all eye candy on, you should get good fps on almost any medium res. At high-res, you might need to drop off some settings.
If you can tell me what res you will be running, I can tell you what to expect.

Probably 1440 x 900. Thats wide screen btw.
I know, I have the same res running on my little bro's system, and I run my system in 720p on a widescreen LCD TV
You should be able to put everything on high and expect good fps. It may not be over 60, but it will be playable. Enjoy!

I have exactly your same specs except I have a GT and I do 60 fps usually with all high settings. I also bought overclocked ram and managed to overclock my 79GT a bit.

Does it run smooth? And also, is a 7900GS better than a 7900GT?
7600GT < 7800GT = 7900GS < 7900GT < 7900GTX.
You should be fine on that res with high settings. The 7900GS is a good card.
