Of these 2 programs, which is better for recording DJ mixes / post-editing like volume normalizing etc.??
--AUDACITY OR SOUNDFORGE??--
I am a 'Audacity' fan. Initially I found it very tough to use but with the scripts and plugins available for Audacity I find it very easy now and extremely useful
i only use audacity,so i can say if it's better than soundforge, but i found this program useful

They do the job almost the same.
Soundforge is good it has a lot of capabilities built-in.
Audacity?
Now a default install of audacity is enough to do what you have stated above.
Heck it' enough to do most that you will normaly require for remastering.
Now, take that already versitile default install of Audacity and install its countless plug-ins, you have a Audio editing package at par with Soundforge.
Granted that SoundForge will still be ahead of Audacity, But hey. Auacity is FREE!
My opinion
