I made this site for those who want to start game design or need resources. This is going to be transfered to FriHost very soon.
I am looking for some feedback on the template I used.
Also the forums were created a few hours ago.
Most things are not viewable there yet, although feel free to sign up.
Also, 20 FriH$ for someone to make a banner:

Text: Gaming Domain
Graphic: Pretty much anything considering it fits with theme
Backround: Anything will do as long it blends well
Dimensions: Width: 780 pixels Height: 143 pixels

The template is a little...not bland...thats not the word im looking for...just unexciting, its simple i guess would be a good word to use. Not that that is bad thing, it helps keep the focus on the content. Personally, I usually like to use something other than white for my background, but it works fine the way you have it, good job! You could use a little more content Wink

though...I need to start getting back into working with game maker, I used to do it all the time and just stopped when I started this whole website stuff.

The only thing that screams modern is the header. Otherwise the site looks like there was no effort put into it.

After mocing to Frihost servers i decided to do some fixing up.
The downloads section is now revamped completley!
The review section now uses Firhost E-mail instead of my hotmail.
Also I put some tags onto each of the download links to make things easier to find.

the header is neat, but it doesn't mesh with the rest of your site. If your not very artistic, don't be afraid to KISS.

If I were you, i would write 'editorial' reviews of each game engine, and add the download link to the editorial page. no need for a review and seperate download page. Allow users to submit reviews in the future.

forum.... why have one... integrate it better into your design, it you really want it, and make it not your #1 link.

If news is your 'home' page, put it on top of the navigation. Also, explain teh purpose of your site on the news page.

Could you build the site without using 'steves' template?

You have a good idea going... refine it.

I could do somthing about the Steves Templates but for now I'll leave it.
Reviews can already be sent in by clicking the Review on the side.
The forums are going to dissappear soon then.
The download links go to Offical Site.
Review buttons are being added to beside those with reviews.
I am awaiting reviews to be sent in! So if you got a review for one of them be sure to sumbit them!

I don't like the layout, I don't like the font. White is way to plain. Get way more creative. Give people a reason to look at your website.

I give it a 3/10, sorry about that. Sad

I am working on design and soon losing the template completley.
I am working on the font, but I like my color coded tags I hope you don't mean those. More content is on the way and a new header will be replaced when someone takes the job for one going to post somthing in the marketplace now Smile
