I have a new NB using Intel SATA ACPI interface.
When I install Win XP and Win 2003, I have to set the BIOS for the SATA interface to compatible (native) not enhanced, for the installation.
Then in the setup, I have to force install the enhanced drivers,
restart, set BIOS to SATA enhanced and reboot.
But when I install SUSE 10.2, what a bliss, the installation have not need for such cumbersome, BIOS changes, and manual force driver installation.
Novell has indeed proven herself diligent even in this area of ensuring smooth installation.
3 cheers to the Novell team.
Any comment on SUSE installation verses Win XP or 2003?
