From what I've read from the first couple of paragraphs on Wikipedia, it sounds interesting Holi is a hindu festival, celebrated for the triumph of, umm... i forgot, so just read that wikipedia article.
Well holi is fun, put colours and water and have lots of fun. And i mean a LOT. Plus there are some traditional food items, so u would have only found me at my neighbours place for the day.
Damn, I hate all my friends who have decided to act like OLDIES, because they refuse to play holi any more

I hear the the colors can get pretty intense and a little difficult to remove! Sounds like a lot of fun. Our US holidays and festivals are pretty boring...Send a card, color eggs, dress up like a cowboy. So sad.

Unfortunately I havent played it for 2 years in a row now.
These days people have become a lot more consious, and mostly use organic skin friendly colours. They come off after taking a shower.
I remember 6 or 7 years back, everyone used to spray chemichal colours. They were hard to remove. We would know how much one enjoyed the Holi, buy seeing everyones face the next day in school

Yes, it is very interesting.
In this festival, we put colors & throw water on each other. We try to color other as much as we can, you can think of it as a war to color each other & wet each other.
