Well, there are probably some people who are already aware of this, but AlJazeera, an arab news broadcasting channel, have launched an English speaking channel called AlJazeera International.
I have been able to watch it, as I am originally Moroccan and I speak Arabic quite well, it's my parents' first language... my dad got a satellite set up and we can watch pretty much any channel in North Africa and the Middle East.
It's look quite modren and has some variety. It's exactly like the Arabic version really. I heard that many AMericans were opposed to AlJazeera, thinking it was preaching some form of extremeism, but most Americans can't speak Arabic, so, there is really no logic in this.
And I have recently found out from my father who works in broadcasting that the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) will be launching an Arabic speaking channel by the end of this year. So I'm looking forward to watching that.
