ITE Smart Guardian causing processor fan to stop?

jay84h
Whenever I run Smart Guardian to read my temps as well as fan speeds, I noticed one thing, my Zalman heat fan stops and the led lights goes out completely. Restarted and everythings working perfectly then. Anyone else having issues with Smart Guardian causing fan to stop? Maybe I would need a newer version? Maybe my board is too high end for the program itself. I use SpeedFan and it works properly!

It is the opposite for my system; Speedfan stops the fans when I exit.

It is because it controls the fans, and when it is closed, it leaves them without a signal.

You don't overclock your CPU anyways, so you should be fine Razz There is no way to fix it, other than restart. So if it bothers you, just don't use Smart Guardian. Have you tried using Everest? It is better than Speedfan...

Ahh really, I see. Nice to know, I got rid of Smart Guardian and use SpeedFan. It's funny because I believe it is reading the fan for the heatsink wrong, it shows like 51,000 RPM lol. Everest better than speedfan? Is it more accurate? And where would I be able to get everest?
