Your desktop is so clean and beautiful. Looks like your running it on a Mac, or a Mac interface. I love the simplicity. I recently worked my windows/start bar/icons into behaving like a Mac, because I like the small clean feel that they have. Maybe I'm just weird...

Litestep is the best shell replacement because it is free and fully customisable and has loads of themes. http://beyondconvention.net/ohussain/lsinstaller/ is a good place to start.

The only good ones I saw were the ones with <2 icons and the ones using shells.

Here's mine...I don't have any shells, just a tiny bar called custombar which takes the place of all my icons and so much more. SO much more.

I see that most people's computer have many files on their desktop.In fact this event will make little slow their computer.Because these files which are located on desktop use computer's memory . I advice these files should be gathered in a directory.So,your computer will be little fast. Very Happy

I had 2 monitors running ar the moment, which explains the width.
Yes, I do have quite a few clocks running.

Its somewhat clean and simple, but I have more than I need right there:

I get around the cluttered desktop problem by putting program links on the panels, where they belong!
I also like having my system monitors running, so I can tell what the CPU and memmory are doing. (very usefull for programming: you can tell when the program is in an infinite loop)
Also, do you like my 16 different desktops? that's just awsome! (I made the background in each one a different color, so I could esily tell them apart)

Enlightenment is a window manager for the X11 windowing system. Its design goal is to be as configurable as possible - in look AND in feel.

X11 is the "base" if you will. Therefore you may run it on Linux AND any UNIX "based" OS. (FreeBSD for instance - a much better UNIX family flavor)

If you would like to actually educate yourself (vs. maintaining technology "based" on other uneducated opinions) try reading a book published by Oreilly http://www.oreilly.com/. Or simply enroll for classes at your local community college. (A+ & NET+ tests are also very usefull for finding out exactly how much you think you know)

It's less a mess as most of yours I concluded... But never mind.

I still use Windows (XP, as you can see), because the step to Linux for example, is just a bit to big. Most programs for school and work are Windows, and that's a pity I think.

I Use Windows Vista Theme because i think is one of the most efficient skin of WB, and it looks like the next generation S.O. jejeje. I didn't get the new version of WB (5.0) instead i don't have the new effects of this Skin.

Aqua 2004 Theme, Really cool program and i think this theme is better than Vista Pack... why? i don't know it looks original

It's a bit more cluttered than usual, I'd usually just have recycle bin and share to web but all that stuff is there to remind me to transfer it. I'm re-formatting soon.

FUN FACT: my desktop is the only thing that's organized in my life.

Here's my desktop at work. Just a windows vista using classic themes since I always wanted things simple and the classic theme consumes less memory. the banana leaf background is just for relaxation since I've got a lot of opened applications

I changed my wallpaper yesterday,, i liked the firefox nebula I just found on google search

Main machine is down right now and I am stuck on the spare, which doesn't have as much stuff on it (small form factor with only a single 80G hard drive).

Got to warn you though...some people think my taskbar is pretty scary. I keep it on autohide and it pops out when I touch the right edge of the screen. There is a method to my madness, though and it is pretty well organized.

My main machine dual boots XP with Ubuntu.

Found these screenshots on my passport drive. Since it isn't working right now, these will have to do. It hasn't changed much since these were taken.
