I just signed up... but I still haven't receive my activation code. How long does it take for it to go through?

It should be immediately. Maybe try to register again with a different email address. Also, please don't use an aim/aol email address, those are refusing our emails.
Try to look at the Bulk folders of your email. I used yahoo when registering and it appeared in the bulk folder instead of my inbox.
