Hi Tomi and welcome to FriHost. I think your the first Finnish member I've come across (although my memory is terrible), so your probably one of the few members from Finland that are members at FriHost. There are members however from most countries, and definitly all continents, so it is more than likely that they are present.

Currently FriHost is going through a lot of changes, which may be announced to the public soon. One of these changes however is not yet complete internationalisation (is that a word? Rolling Eyes ). Basically, FriHost will serve the majority English seen as this is the world's language. There are a few language forums, and another language forum may be added if it was requested by a large number of people. Currently however all of these requests have been turned down, so I wish you good luck. In the far future (I'm hoping within the next year) FriHost will become international, with all parts being language customizable,

Are you hoping to get hosting here at FriHost? If so, what do you wish to do with it (if it's not too personal to state in a public place)?

Also, just a random thing, for some reason I've always wanted to work in a restaurant (as a waiter), although don't know why. It maybe because of the "waiter at the little french cafe" view which for some reason, appeals to me.

I am going to start small business and maybe I tell about that in the web pages. Also closed family gallery for relatives and other friends might be possible.

For restaurant job you might take part time job in some cafe. So could you find out whatkind it is. Smile

Hi and welcome to Frihost.

I am aware of another member here from Finland. I believe (if my raddled old memory serves me right) that Loghete is a Finnish member.

I am almost 100% sure Loghete is from Finland, pleae forgive me if I am wrong but I am sure he is.

I am interested in Finnish Candy but that is another story, I am sure you will discover more as you read some of my posts in the forum but I discovered a type of candy available there (salmiakki) I had never heard of before and was quite intriqued. I am sure it was Loghete who told me about this candy and that is why I connected Loghete with Finland right away.

Anyway, that is another, very long story.

I hope to see you around in the forums
Kind Regards
The Captain

It never ceases to amaze me the people here who are from other countries yet their command of English makes me assume the are from a country where their first language is English.

Other nations are so so adept at learning my mother tongue yet the British attitude to learning other languages is usually pretty lazy.

So it seems there are probbaly a lot more Finnish people than even I must have thought!

P.S. The baby in your avatar is so cute, reminds me a lot of my youngest boy when he was a baby.

It is good to have a language that (almost) everybody understand. Naturally it's richness to have a ability to speak other languages.

It's good English exercise to write in frihost forums. If you have learned some language doesn't mean that you can it rest of your life. You need to train it all the time. If you don't, in couple years you'll forget a lot of things about it.

Here in Finland we learn at least two foreign language in the primary school. If you want more, you get it. This two languages usually are English and Swedish.
How about in England what language you learn in primary school?

And about baby he is now 2 years 4 months old. He is big boy, 100cm and 20kg. Our doctor says that he'll be about two metres tall if he keep growing as fast as so far!

Another Finnish frihoster here also. Well, Finnish-American; I'm living in the USA now, but I visit my relatives near Jyvaskala almost every summer.
