Whats worse?
Lately i had a choice to make, to tell someone that I love her, or not to tell. So i have the following philosophical question, 'What's worse, a regret that you did something or a regret that you didn't?" and this applies to other choices aswell. well here, i asked the question, if you have an oppinion please tell me, but support your statement. thanx, lets argue!
A regret you didn't do something.
If you don't act you will live your life wondering what if.
If you do act and it turns out wrong, at least you know.
Sarah?

yeah thats what i think too! it would be unbearable!!!!
I think the answer to your general question would depend on the particular situation. But as it applies to your case I'll say this: it's been my experience that people more frequently regret the things they don't do.

I think if regretting for doing something is worse. Imagine all the crimes that were done, regretting for commiting crime is basically worser than regretting for something you didn't do, maybe such as charity.
When it come to matters of love, you must weigh the consequences of approaching someone. If she/he is already your friend, you may jeopardize your current non-romantic relationship. I personally feel that regretting not doing something can be much worse, I mean what if she WAS perfect for you? If all it will cost you is a little embharrasment, I'd say go for it. However if you could lose a good friend over it, you have to weigh that against what might be(which can be incredibly hard, especially when you start running through all the possible scenarios).
It depends. Sometimes its worse to regret what it did not do (such as loosing some one through inaction) other times its worse to regret doing something (such as doing something that ultimately pushes him/her away).
So you should ask "how will she react to me telling her?" But its imposable to truly know whats going on in some ones head so sometimes you just have take a chance at doing or not doing.

Yeah, this were are my thoughts exactly! I'll defenetly think it over. thanx for advice!
They are both the same. There are many different situations in which you'd regret not doing something and doing something and there are situations where regretting doing somethings worse and situations where not doing somethings worse so i dont think you can really decide which ones worse. It just depends on peoples experience and their opinion.
In my opinion, regrett for not doing something is much worse than regret for doing something. This is because if you don't do what it is you wanted to do...you'll live your life thinking about what could have happened if you decided to take that route.
Regret for doing something is better because at least you know NOT to do what you did again, and you might have to face the consequences. But thats OK, life is all about learning.

I would have to say, regreting something that you didn't do is far worse. Atleast if you regret something that you did do, you can say that you gave it a shot.
Thanx a lot guys. I gave it a shot and failed but i found someone who i didnt expect
So yeah my motto's gona be "Go for it and if you fall get back up and go for it again"
thanx a lot for your responses! appreciated!
