Extremely great images hosting with a big file size : http://imagespot.com
Fre Image host
How large is large?
From what I see, all they have at the moment is a splash that says "coming soon".
For a real good imagehost, try http://pichost.hexxxen.net/
Also allows 12 mb video uploads

i'm trying to find a file hosting (like freediskspace) but with FTP access facilities, so i can get the file more easily. does anyone know about this?
I use good old http://walagata.com. Small space, large bw. But what draws me to them is the simplicity of the whole thing. Just http upload and a simple gallery with your sub directory.
http://www.imagehigh.com/
Allows uploading of 20 pics at once and it's free.

i love image cabin too but unfortunately, if you have an account (which is 250 space), you won't be able to hotlink in the forums or any other if it doesn't support GD
so far, the only stable and i really find reliable is photobucket though it's actually pretty common. i must agree that imagecabin is good too, except for that part.
but they said they are working on that problem. hopefully they'll be able to resolve it.
Execuse me, do you mean the forum hosting site must install GD package in order to be able for others to access the image via hotlink?
photobucket is good, and it is nice that we can upload 19 pic at a time; but the file size limit is a problem for free users (only 250K per image for free users)
Anyway, thx for your info!

2M is more than enough for an image.
OK, you win!

Could you tell us how to enter?
I find that the main page is the a Imagespot logo, with a line saying "Coming Summer 2005". So is it closed? When would it be opened?

yeah, the [img] tag won't work with their url if this certain forum doesn't have GD. take a look at this one:
[IMG]http://www.imagecabin.com/imagehost/pic.php?u=455L6CG&i=5571[/IMG]
it doesn't work right?
Hey, you have just showed me an example that is not working! To make me believe, you must show me a working example...
Sorry, just kidding...
thx a lot for teaching me this although I still don't understand why FRIHOST don't install GD (afraid of heavy resource usage?)
by the way, your pic really looks good!

Now, maybe I am slow here, and I have been known to be in my years on this planet.
But...
If you wanted to have photos hosted, wouldn't you do it on the ample storage provided here.
Assuming of course you were just not using your webspace for said hosting, you would not be violating the TOS.
The speed is good, unless it is a massive traffic site you post said image on, you would never hit the bandwidth, no file limits.
Just me talking here.

i prefer to use a real image hosting 'coz:
* it's such a bother to open up the FTP only to upload one image
* every image host provides the url and sometimes adds the html code and the bbcode.
generally, an image host is just convenient for people who are lazy enough.
really hard
I'd say Photobucket would be the best I've used so far..
Easy to use, with direct links readily available on the main page.
Plus I've had my account for ages and I've never had a problem with missing images or the like (though I'm not sure if that happens to other image hosts).
Never hit the bandwidth cap either.

another photo hosting requires registration.
www.fotopic.net
www.fotopic.net
I use photobucket and mypicgallery.com also. I actually like photobucket.com better because they don't but their water mark on the picture when you link to it. and you can upload bigger image sizes.
mostarac
The fast and shortest one is:
www.tinypic.com
www.tinypic.com
try http://imagehosting.us ....
mostarac
www.xs.to little slower
