Hi
Just thought this would be interesting as I know a lot of people are FPS (first person shooters) addicts.
O.K. one time when my brother came over I asked if he wanted to game with me and he couldn't get along with my defined keys,
just wondered whats everyone using as a default keyboard setup for FPS.
Heres mine:(On a German Keyboard)
JUMP Space bar
STRAFE LEFT ,
STRAFE RIGHT .
LEAN LEFT m
LEAN RIGHT -
CROUCH Alt
BACK WARDS SHIFT
FORWARDS Right mouse
FIRE Left mouse
ACTION Middle mouse

QWERTY p00ns that! WASD ftw!
As you can see, i'm a WASD user. And the setup depends on the game

STRAFE RIGHT: d

lol that is quite a weird combination, luckily I am not your brother. =p
Same for me, I am a wasd user, and strafe left and right is E and Q respectively.
And jump is still using spacebar, and duck is shift.. I uses these keys when playing CS.
FORWARD - w
BACK - s
STRAFE LEFT - a
STRAFE RIGHT - d
RELOAD - r
FLASHLIGHT - g
SPRINT/WALK - Shift or auto
DUCK - Left Ctrl
FIRE - Left Mouse Button
alternative fire - right mouse button
JUMP - space
JUMP Right mouse button
STRAFE LEFT - A
STRAFE RIGHT - D
LEAN LEFT - Q
LEAN RIGHT - E
CROUCH - Ctrl
BACKWARD - S
FORWARD - W
FIRE - Left mouse
Alt Fire - Spacebar
ACTION - X/C (E if there's no Lean option in the game)
Used to do the arrowkey layout a long time ago, as it seemed more comfortable and intuitive. Still use it in racing games, as right hand's better for "steering" than left, for me anyway. But, having started to practice WSAD layout, I quickly realised that it is, indeed, "Teh pwn". As for the original layout mentioned in the first post, it's, well, a bit scary.
I don't play a lot of FPS, but when I do, I usually take the WASD keys. I remap whatever is on the spacebar to some other key ('G', for example) so my hand doesn't get all wrapped up.
(my right hand is on the keyboard and the left on the mouse)
