Debugging Perl without error log

MrBlueSky
You can't view Apache's error log (using DirectAdmin). This is a known problem I understand from this post:

It's not working due to the current server configuration. (and has been this way since very long) I'm trying to make it work, but I doubt it will be easy/doable.

Off course you can use

Code:

use CGI::Carp qw(fatalsToBrowser);

when you're debugging your perl cgi's. But that doesn't always help, and you still get an internal server error.

Is there another way or trick for debugging when this happens?
