Do you use all of the services listed? If not, you could disable the service with no impact to your workflow.

For example, do you use the fast switching option in XP? I wanted a more secure environment so I disabled fast user switching.

Is this a new problem? Did you install new software/hardware around the time the problem started? If so, uninstall that software/hardware or look for an updated version.

Would you rather deal with your PC being useless for 3 to 5 minutes at a time or would you rather spend some time figuring out the problem?

i definetly use the fast switching option in XP. I guess i
don't use all of those ,but i think that the problem mey
be in something that i need. May be the internet connection
shering or something other related to the network , don know .

The last time I saw this happen was when Windows Autoupdate was eating my resources. All I did was turn off Autoupdates and my comp worked fine again. There was an article on microsoft website with a proper solution for this but you will have to search for it.

ERSvc could be a trojan.

dmserver.exe is spyware.

You'll want to turn off and remove these immediately, especially the first one.

The svchost patch from microsoft has to be applied before the attack. After the attack it's of no use.It simply patches the security hole . Install a good spyware program like spy sweeper.
