The two most popular ones are FCKeditor and TinyMCE

http://drupal.org/project/tinymce

There's also htmlarea: http://drupal.org/project/htmlarea
and a new wysiwyg project: http://drupal.org/project/widgeditor

I haven't tried the two last ones though.
Currently I'm using the bbcode module with the quicktags module to display the formatting bar above the text box.

However visually it's not the best option. I'm planning on geting rid of quicktags, (but keeping bbcode) and using TinyMCE.

not sure why you posted that random thing on wysiwyg editors heh, but i might as well add to it

ive tried both the first two editors and they are pretty nice, i recently needed to use one for a cms project i had to do for a company -- best results came from fckeditor though, rather than tinymce

in my opinion, i thought fckeditor was just plain easier to implement than tinymce, also the editing panel is at the top with fckeditor, and tinymce's is at the bottom, i like it better on the top

well... thats my 2 cents on this random wysiwyg editor post

I have used FCKEditor in the project I'm currently working on and ya I should say its easy to implement and another advantage is the availability of many plugins along with inbuilt features like spellcheck and many others.
FCKEditor is cool.....

IMO WYSISYG editors are a waste of bandwidth when you have wiki markup, which can format without javascript and thus save a killing in bandwidth if your site is ever on digg or something like that and people start to register.
