Does anyone know how to use JTidy?

I've looked online and cannot seem to find good documentation on how to use it. I'm using this with Eclipse, and it seems like it needs to be run from a command line instead of the compiler. Any advice?

Why not use JDE with emacs? I think it's the best one.

Can JDE be used to convert HTML to XHTML? can it clean up messy HTML code? I'm just not quite sure how to do this the best way
